Les Voyageurs Adult Expeditions

For 55 years, Les Voyageurs has solely offered programming for high-school aged youth. Real wilderness experiences are critical at this age and aid in the healthy development into adulthood. But the north woods aren’t just for those aged 15 - 18. The rest of us need the outdoors, too. Hence, the creation of Les Voyageurs’ Adult Expeditions.

LVI Adult Expeditions will kick-off in summer 2026

SUMMARY

Les Voyageurs Inc. 2026 adult expeditions are adapted from their longer, young adult programs. This nine-day expedition is designed to provide an unforgettable experience through the remote waters of Manitoba and Ontario, Canada. Crews will consist of seven crew members and one guide. Men’s crews and women’s crews will be separate.

Cost: $5,000

Proceeds from the adult expeditions will directly benefit LVI’s primary youth program. Les Voyageurs has always prided itself on providing life-changing expeditions for young adults at lowest possible price possible. Your participation in an adult expedition will help us in this effort.

This fee covers: Food | Flights | Transportation | Permits | Trained Guide | Group Equipment

Map

This expedition will take place in the traditional “first year” trip area. For 50 years, Les Voyageurs youth expeditions have travelled the lakes and rivers of western Ontario and earstern Manitoba. The adult expeditions will also take place in this area. See the points and blue outline below.

Pre-Trip Meeting

There will be one crew meeting in June. This meeting will be in person at Les Voyageurs Inc. Basecamp in Sartell, MN, or via Zoom for those who live further away. This meeting will cover expectations, gear lists, menu options, and timelines. In addition to this meeting, there will be the opportunity to involve yourself in trip preparation by learning paddling techniques at Basecamp or helping with food/gear preparation as available/willing. Les Voyageurs will provide all group gear (minus personal gear) and food.
